First factor that comes into play when picking a car is it must be "cool". But what about ensuring it lessens the impact on the environment? Engine type, tires, body shape, and driving speed are among the most important components to take into consideration. Choose from these features to design two vehicles. Then race them around a track until their allotted gallon of gas runs out. At the end of the race, a report states how far each vehicle was able to travel and its gas mileage. This activity is a great foundation to get kids thinking!
