Interested in learning about the Bill of Rights in a gaming format? Then help the small town of Freeville! It is the first ten amendments to the Constitution that are referred to as the Bill of Rights. These amendments were designated primarily by James Madison and George Mason to protect individual rights. The game is easy to play. If you have trouble, click on the help button for more information. When you make a correct choice, there is a description of the appropriate amendment that explains why your answer was correct. If you make an incorrect choice, just try again!
At the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics site you'll find two trigonometry square activity sheets where students can apply trigonometric values to common angles. With the angle of elevation activity sheet, students solve two problems, one by using right-angle trigonometry, and the other using the law of sines.The last activity, the angle of declination, uses the law of cosines.This can be a small group activity and answers may vary. Be sure to check out the discussion of each small group lesson in deciding on their “correct” answer.
